Essential Info

If you use a Venstar or Totaline programmable thermostat, you can adjust the temperature in your home manually from the comfort of your sofa, using a tiny handheld remote control. The Thermostat IR Control & Receiver comes with a module that snaps into the RJ-11 port of the 1-Day Programmable Digital Thermostat, 7-Day Programmable Digital Thermostat or 7-Day Dual-Fual Programmable Digital Thermostat. Aim the included remote at the thermostat, and you'll be able to turn on the heat, adjust the air conditioning by a few degrees, or even turn the system off entirely.

Remote Control Features

The Thermostat IR Control & Receiver has basic on/off/auto buttons, but it also offers "warmer" and "cooler" options. These buttons use "fuzzy logic" to determine how to adjust the temperature: Selecting "cooler" can either turn on the air or simply turn off the heat, based on how the system is currently running.

Use Your Existing Remote

If you use a learning remote to control your home theater devices, it can learn the Thermostat IR Control's commands to keep your coffee table clear.
