ICON Lamp Dimmer — Our Most Economical Remote-Controllable Plug-In DimmerFill your entire home with personalized mood lighting for any occasion. The ICON Lamp Dimmer is a full-featured plug-in lamp dimmer that can be remotely controlled by a ControLinc Tabletop Controller, KeypadLinc V2, or any other INSTEON controller. This simple-to-use plug-in dimmer has advanced features like a preset dim level that stores your preferred choice of 32 brightness levels when turning the lamp on initially, as well as local control, so you can still use the lamp's built-in switch to turn the light on and off. The ICON Lamp Dimmer is made to be plugged into a 2-pin outlet. If the ground is necessary and your outlets have three pins, try the LampLinc V2 3-Pin. This dimmer can control incandescent loads; if you need to control a fluorescent light fixture, or a non-dimmable appliance, try the ApplianceLinc V2 3-Pin. Never come home to a dark house again: Install Smarthome Manager Essential's Timer Software on your computer to schedule any ICON Lamp Dimmer or any other INSTEON-compatible device to turn on or off at any specific time or even at sunrise and sunset. The ICON Lamp Dimmer can control up to a 150-watt load. If a larger load is required, the LampLinc V2 300-Watt Dimmer is available.

Easy To Install
The ICON Lamp Dimmer is easy to plug in and set up and yet so affordable, you'll want to add ICON Lamp Dimmers to all of your lamps. Just unplug the lamp, plug the lamp into the bottom of the dimmer, and plug in the dimmer where the lamp was plugged in. Link the dimmer to an INSTEON controller using the Plug & Tap programming method, you'll be able to turn the lamp on and off, brightening and dimming, as well. If this is your first INSTEON installation, the best way to ensure you get everything needed to provide the most reliable communication among devices is to buy the complete Plug-In Dimmer INSTEON Starter Kit, which includes everything required to set up your INSTEON network, including two LampLinc V2 Dimmers, a pair of SignaLinc RFs to ensure INSTEON network reliability, and the desktop ControLinc. Brightness Levels
You can adjust the brightness level of the controlled lamp by pressing and holding the on or off button of your INSTEON controller. This is especially helpful when you want to create a theatrical experience when watching your favorite movie. You can also adjust the brightness remotely by sending signals from the controller to brighten or dim the light. You won't even have to leave the comfort of your chaise lounge to dim the light: Your tabletop ControLinc can be placed within arm's reach and plugged into any outlet. When you turn on the ICON Lamp Dimmer, it automatically comes on to full brightness. Setting the preset on level will make the dimmer stop at your preferred choice of 32 brightness levels. With software you can control brightness levels in 1 percent increments for ultimate flexibility. This is a great feature for your bedroom to set the mood.
Create Multi-Way Circuits
The ICON Lamp Dimmer allows you to customize your lighting setup no matter how your house is wired. It's simple to create a 3-, 4-, or 5-way controlled lamp. First plug the lamp you want to include in the circuit into the dimmer, then plug in the ICON Lamp Dimmer into an open outlet. Link the dimmer to all the INSTEON-compatible wall switches and ControLinc Tabletop Controllers that you want to control the dimmer for a flexible, fully functional multi-way controlled lamp.
Scene Lighting
Scenes allow you to control multiple lights, rooms or even the whole home with a single command. Because the ICON Lamp Dimmer can be a member of 30 scenes (i.e. "Movie Time," "Party," "Romance," etc.), you'll be able to launch various lighting scenarios with a single button press on your INSTEON controller, so one set of lamps turn on to a 73 percent brightness level, while another set turns on to a 27 percent brightness level, all controlled with one command from one controller. If you want to control multiple scenes from one controller, try the KeypadLinc V2 Dimmer.
Status LED
Get a visual indication when ApplianceLinc V2 is sending or receiving INSTEON or X10 signals. The Status LED is also used for set up programming.
Compatibility
The ICON Lamp Dimmer is fully INSTEON compatible and X10 ready. Homeowners with existing X10 networks can easily migrate to an INSTEON network without having to discard all their existing X10 devices. X10 ready means that it can respond to X10 commands from an X10 controller. Please note that INSTEON devices repeat INSTEON signals but not X10. The ICON Lamp Dimmer is not X10 scene compatible.
Non-Volatile Memory
All ICON Lamp Dimmer settings are stored in non-volatile memory and are not lost during power failures. Additionally, in the event of a power loss, the ICON Lamp Dimmer will return to its last brightness level when power is restored.
