Controlling electronic devices throughout your home can now been done through a single piece of equipment, the EyeOn Automation Server. This server was designed to integrate each electronic sub-system in your home with automated features that can utilize these systems independently or together, letting you decide the set of combinations that will benefit your life the most. By itself it doesn't do much, but as you add electronic subsystems to your home such as lighting control, video, audio, security, surveillance, infrared (IR), access control, climate, shading and in-screen intercoms; the server will bring it all together in one manageable system. While we recommend using this product in combination with an EyeOn Automation In-Wall 8.4" Touch Screen Controller, it does work as a standalone server allowing for a web-based connection from anywhere in the world so you can use your computer, PDA or mobile phone to access and control electronic devices in your home. Additionally, it is capable of receiving IR commands from a universal remote control (requires IR transceiver). Administering custom settings, schedules and programs has never been easier. With a single press of a button you can have every system in your home turn on or off, whether you are sitting on the couch or relaxing on vacation. A complete home automation solution of the future can be in your hands today, offering electronic control of your home that is driven by comfort, convenience, safety and energy savings. Automation Lighting Control OptionsUsing lighting and appliance control devices such as INSTEON, you can add convenience and security to your home without running new wires. Remotely control all your lights from anywhere in the house with a wall-mounted keypad, a handheld remote, tabletop controller, a universal remote control, or the EyeOn Touch Screen. The EyeOn Automation Server helps program your lighting as part of a complete home solution. Set up different moods or scenes so that one button press will transform lighting from a standard night time setting to a romantic setting. Schedule lights to turn on and off while you are away on vacation, to give your home that lived in look or simply schedule lights to shut-off at certain times to save energy.
Home Automation Video IntegrationYou can integrate any piece of video equipment through the server, such as a DVD player, Blu-Ray player, DVR or even surveillance cameras. This allows you to display the video feed from any device in your system on any TV in your home. You can even create advanced programs that can automatically mute your television, pause your digital video recorder, and switch the television's video input to the front door camera anytime your front door bell is pressed.
Audio System AutomationMuch like the video capabilities, the EyeOn Automation Central Control Server will allow for up to six different audio sources to be accessed in different rooms simultaneously. By using a whole-house audio system, your kids can listen to their favorite CD while playing outside, dad can listen to a classic rock station as he cleans the garage, and mom can listen to an XM or Sirius satellite station while she relaxes in the afternoon.
Home Security and AutomationSecurity is an important part of any home automation system, and this server integrates nicely with Elk, a premium alarm and automation manufacturer with a comprehensive product line. By going through the server, you can increase the control and accessibility of your security system, even activating or deactivating remotely via a web browser, cell phone or PDA. It also has the flexibility to send remote notification via phone, text message or email if an alarm is tripped.
Home Automation and SurveillanceUsing surveillance cameras and a Video Insight DVR Server, you can monitor your home on a touch screen, any TV in your home, or remotely from a web browser. The server can even be set up to automatically display an image on your Touch Screen or TV when the doorbell is triggered. While away from home or on vacation, your EyeOn Automation Server can offer you peace of mind by emailing you pictures of any activity on the property.
Home Automation Infrared (IR) Remote ControlInstead of using a different remote for every electronic device in the house, why not program a universal style remote to control any electronic device connected to the EyeOn server. Simply attaching an Ocelot IR transceiver allows you to control your thermostat, audio, security, garage door opener, hot tub, gas fireplace, shower, oand many other home devices.
Commercial Automation Access ControlIf you are opting to use the server for business, you can use an access control system, which lets you manage who comes and goes throughout your office. With RFID access cards and sensors, you can grant or restrict access to your office, track the time employees come in or leave, and receive notification when someone is trying to gain access to an unauthorized area.
Home Automation Climate ControlThe EyeOn Automation Server will also operate an HVAC system by adding a thermostat controller such as a TR40 RS-485 thermostat . Adjust temperature based on the time of day and day of the week. Optionally, you can incorporate it as part of an event that will lower temperature while dimming lights to create a relaxing environment in the evening. Limiting the use of your HVAC is also a great way to decrease energy consumption.
Home Automation Natural Light ShadingTo further aid climate control, the server works with window shade solutions that give you full control over the natural lighting in your home. By using EyeOn Schedules and Moods, you can automatically close shades during the day to block warm sun rays out in the summer or open them up to warm your home in the winter.
Automated Home Intercom SystemYou can also use the integrated intercom/paging system to allow you to communicate with other rooms and areas inside and outside your home.
